You can see this coat of arms at almost every lamppost and wastebasket in central Dublin, some of them even in plastic form and in colors.
This one, with the city official motto "Obedientia Civium Urbis Felicitas" under it, is attached to the front facade of Mansion House, the official residence of Lord Mayor of Dublin since 1715. A bronze plaque left of the entrance informs that this was the place of negotiations between Irish and British forces in July 1921, which led to the cessation of hostility on July 11, 1921.
