This is the place of an ancient Roman Road (Römerstraße) located outside of Bochingen, Germany, Baden-Württemberg.

The road is not visible to the untrained eye. It has completely obliterated over time. It still exists only in the underground.

There's an infomation sign about the Roman Road.

It was built at the end of the 1st Century A.D. by Roman soldiers.
It had connection to Roman trunk road towards the Rhine and Danube.
In 1985 a section of the old Roman road has been studied scientifically.
It was noted that the road is on an artificial causeway and had a width of 4.5 meters. On both sides it was bounded by curbs and gutters. Ruts with a track width of 1.7 meters can be used to draw conclusions about the carts this time.
In this section between Rottweil and Sulz were several Roman farmhouses (Villae Rusticae).
