One day, after I had found a geocache located at the outer edge of Saint Joseph's (Catholic) cemetery, and I was walking back to the car, I came across this homemade cross-shaped tombstone. It stands about four-and-a-half feet tall and has been made from parallel lengths of metal plumbing pipes set in a concrete block and connected with elbow joints. The pipes are rusted in places giving the cross a soft weathered appearance and in the center is a black plastic plaque on which is written:

+ + + + + + + + + + +
MARGUERITE DUFRESNE
VILLENEUVE
1893 ---- 1918
MARGUERITE LATULIPE
VILLENEUVE
1896 ---- 1939
JOSEPH VILLENEUVE
1927 +
+ + + + + + + + + + +

I have absolutely no connection to the Villeneuve family, but was intrigued by the fact that both women were born within a few years of each other and both were named Margeurite and thought it would be interesting to find out a bit about them. It turns out that they were the first and second wives of Wilfrid Villeneuve, a mechanic. (I wasn't able to figure out the relationship of Joseph Villeneuve who was buried in 1927, or who made the tombstone.
