Long Description:Unless you have your own boat, the only way to reach Ocracoke
Island from Cape Hatteras is via ferry. The

Hatteras to Ocracoke ferry trip is free and takes about 40 minutes
or so. The ferry departs from this terminal every 30 minutes in
season, with more frequent departures on busy summer days.
