At this starting point there is a sign that gives a brief overview of the hike. You can purchase a brochure for a nominal amount at the nearby Ranger Station, from most Rangers in the area, or from a stand next to the sign. The brochure contains a map with brief descriptions of each point of interest. The walking tour takes you through the fields, gardens, and ranch buildings about 250 yards from here at the entrance then on to the cemetery another 1/4 mile further up the Pariah River bank. Then return straight back down the road to this starting point.

The stops on this tour are:
1) Orchard - 1965
2) Lonely Dell Ranch - 1871
3) Irrigation System - 1871
4) Samantha Johnson Cabin - 1881
5) "Jerry" Johnson Cabin - 1925
6) Warren Johnson House Foundation - 1886
7) Lonely Dell Dugout - 1870's?
8) Weaver Ranch House - 1935
