A rectangular bronze plaque is displayed upright on a rectangular piece of granite. Each corner has a symbol of a branch of the armed forces ARMY - NAVY - MARINES - AIR FORCE. The plaque contains the names of 23 citizens of Thompson who died while in service to the nation: 22 during World War II and 1 during the Korean War.
