This bridge can be better observed from bellow,where there is space to park and to watch the structure. It goes over the river Gilão, which meets the ocean here in Tavira, and over a number of roads and streets of the town.
It's in use. Regional trains run across Algarve, from Lagos to Vila Real de Santo António, stopping in Tavira and crossing this bridge.
