The Canadair T33 was first delivered to the RCAF in 1953 and saw service with the RCAF, RCN and CF until the last 2 were retired in 2005, a span of over 50 years.

One of the most reliable and ubiquitous jet aircraft ever built, the "T-bag" or "Tbird" saw everything from the dawn of the jet age to the dawn of the next generation of advanced aircraft. A total of 656 were built and delivered to the RCAF and RCN. Originally intended as a 2 seat trainer jet aircraft, the T33 quickly saw its role expanded to include everything from electronic warfare to drogue target towing for the Navy.

The aircraft on display was delivered to the RCAF in the 1950's and last saw flight service with 414 Squadron at CFB North Bay, ON in the late 1980's. In 1989 it was struck off strength and used as a training aid before being disposed of by the mid 90's. Photo records indicate that ths aircraft was on site by 1998.

The museum where 303 and several other aircraft and ground equipment are stored is a private collection amassed by the owner over many years. Aircraft are in various stages of disrepair. However, there is a seasonal inside museum containing all sorts of artifacts.
