The Allen County Courthouse is the home of an old civil defense fallout shelter. Signs can be found in at least three locations just inside the east entrance tot he courthouse. One is located on the north wall just prior to entering the rotunda area. Each has a arrow that once pointed the way to the shelter but it has been defaced and now just denotes that the shelter was here. It is no longer in use of course.
