Zedic Spring died when he was only 1 1/2-years-old, but lived long enough to see Oklahoma's statehood. He is buried in what started out as his family's cemetery located just South of Hugo's US 70 Bypass on S. 8th.
The cemetery has a number of home-made gravestones, with this being by far the best preserved. Someone took a simple red brick and inscribed it with Zedic Spring's names, the dates of his birth and death, and the image of a dove. The brick is set on top of a larger brick which is embedded in the ground.
(If you happen to go looking for this cemetery or gravestone, do not confuse the cemetery with Spring Hill or Springs Chapel Cemeteries.)
