Another fine example of the Carnegie endowment libraries built throughout North America in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The library here was constructed in 1912 at a cost of $8,000, and has been in continuous use ever since.
It was originally called the Carnegie Free Library, then the Campbellford Town Library, and now the Trent Hills Library - Campbellford Branch following sweeping municipal amalgamations in the 1990's.
As the library approached its centennial in 2012, extensive renovations were completed, including new state of the art audio/visual aids and 24/7 wifi access.
