This Blue Star Memorial Highway marker is found at the Cabin Creek rest area, located at milepost 142 on southbound Interstate Highway 5. The site is approximately 4 1/2 miles northwest of the town of Oakland. The marker is on the west side of the return entrance lane to the freeway, at the south end of the rest area. The marker is in nice condition and has a neat American Flag arranged with colored rocks at the base of the marker.

I like that the placement of this marker at the rest area allows you to safely stop and read the marker.
