The bay continues along as part of Studland Beach with Knoll Beach. This is a popular location with fine sand, dunes, wildlife habitat and spectacular views across the heathland and towards Bournemouth.
Shell Bay is immediately accessible near the chain ferry toll booth. There are facilities available, a restaurant and a sailing club.
