This benchmark is set in one of the concrete supports at a bridge in Clanton, Alabama.

The bridge is close to Goose Pond Park in Clanton; in fact, I parked by the park entrance and walked to the benchmark. As can be seen in the photo, it is on the top of the concrete bridge support, at one end of the bridge. Someone painted a white circle around the mark, making it that much easier to spot. There is also a witness post by the disk.
The description from the datasheet reads:

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1949 0.45 MI NW FROM CLANTON. ABOUT 0.45 MILE NORTHWEST ALONG U.S. HIGHWAY 31 FROM THE JUNCTION OF STATE HIGHWAY 22 AT CLANTON, SET IN THE TOP OF THE WEST END OF THE NORTH ABUTMENT OF A 135-FOOT CONCRETE BRIDGE, 25 FEET WEST OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE HIGHWAY, 1.4 FOOT WEST OF THE CONCRETE BANISTER AND ABOUT 1/2 FOOT ABOVE THE HIGHWAY.
