The restaurnat is named for Olive Oatman who was captured in this vicinity by Native Americans and held captive for a number of years. She was given a tattoo on her chin by the Indians while she was a captive.
The food here is very uneven. Mostly tourist fare that is supposed to reflect the town's heritage. Most of the items on the menu seem to feature chili in one form or another. They have chili burgers, regular burgers, Frito Pie (sometimes), Navajo tacos, and Navajo fry bread. I decided to just get some ice cream to tide me over until I could eat elsewhere.
Staff is very friendly and the town is a delight. Be careful of the burros. If you're not quick enough with a handout they can get as obnoxious as a human panhandler.
