This bridgeless water crossing is around a curve on Somervell Co. Rd 1008. It is marked with a "Water Over Road" sign just outside the western fence of the Lanham Mill Cemetery.
The Paluxy is usually a placid river, but it can rise quickly and run violently after rain in the watershed. Use caution when crossing this bridgeless crossing when the Paluxy is running high.
Of course, Texans know the Paluxy's real fame stems from the 3 types of dinosaur tracks found in its ancient muddy banks. If you come for the waymark, be sure and stop by nearby Dinosaur Valley State Park and see the tracks while visiting the park waymarks.
