On 5 May 1955 the new building of the main station was opened by Theodor Heuss. It was designed by Helmuth Conradi (1903–1973) in the style of the Stuttgart School of architecture. In the main hall there is a mural of sun-god helios (see WMFQYF) and a compass rose (see WMFQYM) from that time.
Am 5 Mai 1955 wurde das neue Gebäude des Hauptbahnhofs von Theodor Heuss eingeweiht. Es stammt vom Architekten Helmuth Conradi (1903–1973) im Stil der Stuttgarter Schule. In der Haupthalle befinden sich ein Wandkunstwerk des Sonnengottes Helios (siehe WMFQYF) und eine Kompaßrose (siehe WMFQYM) von 1955.
