Lucinda Curtis, wife of John Bittle, b. March 16, 1843, d. April 28, 1880, aged 37 year, 1 month and 12 days.

Emarretta, daughter of John and Lucinda Bittle, b. September 20, 1884, d. October 21, 1884, aged 1 month and 1 day.

Minnie, daughter of John and Lucinda Bittle, died October 1, 1874, aged 5 months & 22 days.

Infant son of John and Lucinda Bittle, born August 1878, died September 1878, aged 1 month.

This monument was supplied by the Detroit Bronze Co, Detroit, Michigan.

This is one of four white bronze headstones in Greenlawn Cemetery.

A weakness that damages these monuments is caused by the pressure from their weight. Zinc has a tendency to creep or bend when it is exposed to pressure over time. There are pictures above showing bulging at the base of this monument, caused by that effect, and settlement of the foundation.
