The lion symbolizes bravery, valour, strength and royalty since traditionally it is regarded as the king of the animal kingdom. This weathervane is a metal silhouette style gothic lion, standing ferociously on its hind legs. The lion is standing on a directional arrow over the N,E,S,W indicators. Below the indicators is a small finial attached to a sphere and mounted to a tin shingled, windowed cupola on the Liberty Presbyterian Church.
