This is the Gasometer (Scheibengasbehälter) of Stuttgart, Germany, Baden-Württemberg. It is located at the street 'Talstraße'.

The original gasometer was built in 1874/1875. In 1928/1929 a newer one was created. After World War II it was re-built in 1948/1949.

Its height is 102.5 meters and its diameter is 69 meters. Its capacity is 300,000 cubic meters. It's still in use. It is the tallest gasometer in Europe which is still in use.

There are 2 milions rivets used to built this gasometer. And they needed 25 tons of color to paint it.

It is listed in the German Monument Registers since 1998.
