This is one of those very rare things, a new pub. It was built at the same time as a Tesco supermarket was built.
The pub is close to the Huddersfield Narrow Canal and the River Thame so is a very appropriate pub name for its location.
The pub is set back from the road, whilst the sign stands separate next to the road.
At the time of posting the pub is so new that the map view still shows a derelict site before the supermarket and pub were built.
Date of current sign: 2009
