This station is a Town of Danbury (CT) standard survey disk, located at the southeast end of Candlewood Lake. It is set in a concrete post at the north end of a large levee/dike adjacent Danbury Town Park. Hayestown Road passes over the levee. The mark is 35-ft. NW of the centerline of Hayestown Road, 300-ft. SW from the junction of Hayestown Road and Acre Drive, and 15-ft SW from a large rock outcrop.
According to 1949 USGS documents, the published elevation for this station is 440.618 feet above sea level.
The 440-ft contour around Candlewood Lake is the property line for the current owners of the lake, formerly owned by Connecticut Light and Power Co.
