Visitors to this corner of the property that is part of the Klamath County Courthouse will notice a small plaque standing in front of a tree that says the following words:

IN MEMORY OF
OSP SR TROOPER
BRET CLODFELTER
7 SEP 58 - 30 SEP 92
KILLED IN THE LINE OF DUTY
DEDICATED BY
114TH FS
KINGSLEY FIELD

After doing some online research on Oregon State Trooper Clodfelter I found two website here and here that mention how he died in the line of duty. I should also mention that the plaque dedication was by the Kingsley Field Air National Guard 114 Fighter Squadron, an air training base here in Klamath Falls.
