The Placodus was not actually a dinosaur, but a reptile.

He would have been clumsy on land, but the Placodus' webbed hands and feet, which worked like paddles, and its long flat tail made it a very fast swimmer!

His teeth were very unusual but perfect for a diet of fish and molluscs.
