This covered wagon is located at the National Oregon California Trail Center in Montpelier, Idaho. It represents the travel of pioneers as they settled the west.
The creator of this covered wagon intended it to represent the difficulties of "The Big Hill" which is located near Montpelier and caused many problems for the pioneers, who found that ropes were necessary to help the decent of the wagons down the hill.
