Postoloprty is a small town in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic. The first written mention of the town dates from 1125. The city has an interesting name, whose origin is not yet clear. Probably comes from the composition of the old name for footwear (CZ: postol = škorne) and repair (CZ: prtat).

The most important landmarks of the city include the neo-gothic town hall, Renaissance chateau, baroque statues at Mírové nám. and a bridge (inundation viaduct).

První písemná zmínka o obci Postoloprty pochází z roku 1125. Mesto má zajímavé jméno, jehož puvod není dosud jasný. Pochází zrejme ze složení starého názvu pro obuv (postol=škorne) a prtat/opravovat.

Mezi nejvýznamnejší památky mesta patrí neogotická radnice, renesancní zámek, barokní sochy na Mírovém nám. a záplavový most (inundacní viadukt).
