This Scenic Overlook is constructed on a shelf of sandstone below the top of the Glen Canyon Gorge on the east side of the Colorado River.

It is a hike of about 0.2 miles from the parking area and about 100 feet down into the Glen Canyon Gorge to reach this overlook. Most of the steps are just the edges of the sandstone layers exposed as they have eroded. There are metal handrails to help you maintain your footing as you make the trek. The view is well worth the effort.
