This waymark is the summit register of Guadalupe Peak, which is reachable by a long switchback trail, at the end of whioch is an ammo can under a steel pyramid.
The summit is a very inhospitable place, with little vegetation, and what vegetation is there is cactus! The summit is marked by a very shiny pyramid-shaped aluminum marker that was placed by American Airlines in the 1950s.
Be careful not to touch this marker in the summer because it gets VERY HOT!
The summit register is in a hollow area at the summit marker's base, in a large ammo can.
