There are in this group three dolmens. They are all in a small piece of wood between the meadows. You can expire a path here and then you come along three dolmens.
Of dolmen D23 is still but little about. There is 1 Capstone still in place and the rest is little more to see. There is still half a Capstone in the basement.
Even though this dolmen on the small side and is far away from complete then this definitely worth to visit. Though it is only because you can walk along the other runestones in this little forest.
This dolmen D23 was by Prof. A.E. van Giffen examined in 1925.

Type: Dolmen
Parking: N 52° 56.636 E 006° 47.820
Number: 11.00
Size: The dolmen is about 19 feet long and would originally have had 4 casing stones.
Source: The stones of the Dutch Dolmen are thought to have been moved here during the Ice Age, when the land ice stretched to the middle of the country as we now know it.
Purpose: Even though Dolmens are often thought to be burial grounds, there is ample evidence that corpses were burnt instead of buried. Some of the "hunebedden" do contain artifacts thought to be to help deceased people on their last voyage.
