Fourth Ward School

Erected 1875

The cut stone foundation is anchored in solid granite from Mt. Davidson. Steel rods support the 4 stories to its foundation. It has 14 class rooms, 2 study halls

Built to accomodate 1,025 students, it was a grammar~High school combination and graduated its last class in 1936.
