Bethany Cemetery is a nicely kept area on the northeast corner of N.W. 63rd and Rockwell. There are about 4200 burials at this site.
Bessie Kinne's headstone is a flat two-toned gray granite marker with praying hands and a rose engraved in the upper right corner. The lighter center section reads:

Mar. 16, 1894 - Sept. 8, 1999
She prayed for us.
* Bessie was born five years after the Land Run of 1889 which settled this area.
* She was thirteen the year Oklahoma became the 47th State.
* The Saturday Evening Post featured a Norman Rockwell painting for the first time when Bessie was twenty-two.
* Native Americans were proclaimed U.S. citizens the year Bessie turned thirty.
* The first Burger King restaurant opened when Bessie was sixty.
* Bessie was 87 the year Sandra Day O'Connor became the first woman on the U.S. Supreme Court.
* Bessie passed away one year before she would have witnessed her second Turn of the Century.
