Wesley Bolin Memorial Plaza
The plaza, located in downtown Phoenix, across from Arizona's capitol building, is home to 29 memorials and monuments dedicated to topics as wide-ranging as historical figures, important individuals, organizations and commorative events. Among the more prominent are the mast and anchor of the USS Arizona -- sunk at Pearl Harbor during WWII, memorials to major wars such as World War I, World War II, the Vietnam War, the Korean War and Desert Storm.
