There are many memorials inside the church of St George and these are dedicated to those who fell in World War II.

Here there is a memorial to the Malthouse Boys, which was a local, private school and it reads:
'In proud memory of the Old Malthouse Boys
who fell in action in the World War
1939 - 1945

There is also a framed document with the Durnford School Boys remembered together with some brass plaques. The document reads:

great tradition, gave their lives for their King and Country
in the cause of Freedom and Justice.
