The best burgers in town are truly served at Casper's & Runyon's NOOK restaurant at 492Hameline Ave. S, St. Paul, MN 55116. It is near the corner of Hamline and Randolph Avenues. The NOOK is not right at the corner but two stores back on the SE part of the intersection.

The NOOK was featured on the Food Network's show "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives" with star chef Cuy Fieri. The episode titled "Serious Sandwiches" featured two of Casper's & Runyon's NOOK restaurant's specialty burgers: the Spanish Fly burger, made with a blend of beef and chorizo; and, the Guys Big Bite burger, made with a burger stuffed with cheese melted in the middle, topped with sliced roast beef and bacon.

Hours of operations are:
M-Th = 11am-10pm
F-Sat= 11am-11pm
Sun = 11am-10pm

I happened to be visiting St Paul, MN on a business trip and watched the episode of "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" on the hotel TV on the Food Network channel. Since I was there, and since I needed to eat lunch somewhere, the next day I drove to the NOOK and ordered the Guys Big Bite burger. It was delicious! The bacon was the very meaty, with little fat, and cooked crisp, like I like it. The roast beef was ample, and the stuffed burger was literally "melts in your mouth" delicious. And, to top it all off, the sandwich came with large fries. I was surprised at how much food I got for such a fair price. This truly is the Best Burger in Town.
