This cemetery started in 1834. There are many important local celebrities buried there, e.g. Friedrich von Schmauß, the architect of the Germersheim fortress. There is also a French monument for the 1870/71 war, graves of both world wars, a monument to the 17th Infantry Regiment and Russian grave yards.
