The "Gold Flow" fountain is an elaborate piece of artwork donated to Singapore by the city of Vienna. It is located at the Marina on the mouth of the Singapore River, leading into the sea. This is a major recreation area for both locals and tourists. The fountain is intended to be played with and, when I visited, hordes of children were playing in the cooling fountain, and many adults. It is a long stretch of large and small water jets, pieces of rock, and lots of spraying water.
The plaque (in gallery) provides a background to the fountain. It was designed by the Austrian water sculptor Hans Muhr. The fountain was dedicated in 2009. It is designed from natural stone, with the intent of producing energy, revitalisation, and good things. The plaque is the waymark location.
