Long Description:
This multi black marble slab memorial is located in front of the northern entrance of the Prowers County Building - 301 South Main. The left slab front shows the names of Soldiers of World War I who Died in Action, the Reverse shows the names of Soldiers of Korea and Vietnam. The right slab both on the front and the reverse shows the names of soldiers who died in action in World War II.

All four sides say the same thing (except for the war or conflict)
For Those Who Served Their Country in the (war or conflict).

There is no information as to when or who set the memorial.

I like this memorial because people who have business with the Courthouse must pass through this Memorial. It's a great way to remind people who is responsible for the freedom that we enjoy and what cost was paid.

For Those Who Served Their Country along with the listing of all of the names of those who gave their lives in WWI, WWII, Korea, and Vietnam from Prowers County.

Description of Memorial:
This memorial creates an entryway to the north entrance to the Prowers County Building. These black marble slabs are on either side of the sidewalk and are a highly visible reminder that freedom isn't free.
