Whistler is just north of Vancouver, BC and although noted for skiing, it is really a year-round resort.
It is very pedestrian-friendly, and the scenery is stunning.
Whistler and Blackcomb are two mountains very close to each other. During ski season they offer a total of over 200 runs. In summer, they can be experienced by a gondola which goes from one to the other.
