This lonely chimney is on the north end of Vancouver Island.

This chimney is almost all that's left of the one-time community of Suquash. This was part of the managers house. The reason it is so high is because the house was built on a high foundation to take advantage of the ocean view.

Suquash was the site of the first mine in British Columbia, but was only active for a few years in the mid-1800's.
