Who says "Dairy Queen" any more? When one says "DQ" - everyone knows what that means.

Since they turned our DQ into an A & W, the Castlegar DQ is our nearest refuge on a hot summer day. (A LARGE chocolate dipped cone, please.)
I've always been partial to their charbroiled burgers, as well, and this place has them. It's a smaller place, at the back end of a strip mall on the corner of 18th St. & 17th St., (that's right, they're both "Streets"), one block off the main drag, with no room for a drive-thru. Easy to find in Castlegar, just drive along southern Columbia Ave. until you see the DQ sign, just north of the Crowsnest Highway.
