Founded in 1950 as Central Christian College at Bartlesville, OK, the school’s initial 97 students has grown to over 2,000. Oklahoma Christian University has been at this 240-acre campus in Edmond since 1958. The university is a private institution affiliated with the churches of Christ.
OC has received numerous national recognitions, including National History Honor Society naming it a “Best Chapter” among all U.S. universities with 3,000 or fewer students for 16 straight years.
The University has 14 academic departments operating in one of three colleges: the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Biblical Studies, and the College of Professional Studies. Graduate degrees include the Master of Arts in Ministry, the Master of Divinity, the Master of Business Administration, and the Master of Science in Engineering.
The athletic program is utilized by more than 250 students, participating in 14 sports, including baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, and track and field.
OC is a close-knit school, with a beautiful campus on the south side of Edmond. The coordinates shown are at the 100-foot tall Freede Centennial Clock Tower on the west side of campus.
