Activated mid-June 2006, this free hotspot provides internet access to boaters traveling along the Erie Canal that may be staying overnight, or just for the day. On recent personal visits (fall of 2007), the signal was extremely poor. I tried in numerous places to get a connection but could not. I wouldn't recommend using this hotspot if you are in dire need of internet access.
