This UGGS station mark was easily spotted on the northeast corner of the courthouse, about 4 feet above the ground. Survey mark is in good condition, with multiple dates stamped on the face, with the elevation of 230 stamped on the face as well.

DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1961 IN CORVALLIS. LOCATED AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF THE BENTON COUNTY COURTHOUSE, IN THE WALL OF THE BUILDING, IN THE SECOND ROW OF STONE FROM THE TOP OF THE FOUNDATION, AND 4 FEET ABOVE GROUND.

RECOVERY NOTE BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1987 RECOVERED IN GOOD CONDITION, A NEW DESCRIPTION FOLLOWS. IN CORVALLIS, AT 121 NORTH 4TH STREET, SET VERTICALLY IN THE GRANITE FOUNDATION WALL OF THE COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 11.3 M (37.1 FT) NORTHEAST OF THE CENTER OF THE EAST ENTRANCE TO THE COURTHOUSE, AND 0.2 M (0.7 FT) SOUTHWEST OF THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF THE COURTHOUSE. NOTE--THE DISK IS STAMPED X 227 1941 230 1911 ORE DAT. 1929 THE MARK IS 1.3 M ABOVE THE GROUND.
