Marian Column, Libochovice, Czech Republic - Baroque Architecture on Waymarking.com

Libochovice is a small town. It is well know for its beautiful chateau (visit link) and as the birthplace of Jan Evangelista Purkyne (visit link) .

Column is decorated with several statues - the central statue of the Virgin Mary, St. Joseph, St. Anne, St. Roch, protector against the plague. In 1864, the column was recovered and added balustrade. Another reconstruction done in 1968. In 1997 was reconstructed statue of the Virgin Mary on top of the column.
