This Korean War Memorial is located at Kinsmen Park at the corner of 2nd Street and 9th Avenue.

The Korea War monument is large made from local stones from a nearby quarry. It stand about eight feet high and is in the form of a cross. It is placed in honor of those who lost their lives during the Korean War.
There are three plaques attached to the cross:
A small one which reads:
The Peacekeepers
We will remember them
A small plaques which simply reads:
Korea 1950 - 1953
The largest plaque reads:
TO THE GLORY OF GOD
AND IN EVERLASTING
MEMORY OF THE MEN
OF
CASTLEGAR & DISTRICT
WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES
IN DEFENCE OF FREEDOM
AT THE GOING DOWN
OF THE SUN
