A busy restaurant at Honokohau Harbor for local salts or anyone stopping by for a bite to eat or sample the "Coldest Beer in Town".

Best place for Burgers, Fish & Chips and Calamari and a cold frosted beer.
This restaurant is a fixture in Kailua-Kona. It is conveniently located at Honokohau Harbor midway between the Kona International Airport and town on the ocean side of course and is frequented by the Harbor's fishing folks fixtures, construction workers, police officers and their families, akamai (in the know locals). Beer is served in giant frosted "schooners". Fresh fish sandwiches are available. Quality food is prepared with pride. The restaurant/bar closes shortly after sundown.

Some customer comments:
* Stopped in for lunch after a local suggested it. Nice setting on the harbor overlooking the fleet of boats. I ordered the calamari and chips while my companion had the fish sandwich. Both delivered quickly, the calimari was fantastic as was the fish sandwich.
* A real dive full of old salts and other local color”
We really like the Harbor House. Despite flies, birds and al fresco "odors" from the boat slips, this is ol' skool Kona at its best. Good food, cheap schooners of draft beer, attractive servers, and a fun but rough crowd. Things haven't changed here since we started visiting Kona in the 1980s, abnd we hope they never do.
