The Central Branch of the Pointe-Claire Public Library is located at 100 Douglas Shand in Pointe-Claire.
Its hours of operation and services can be found here or by calling 514.630.1218. In addition to collections of printed materials, the library holds collections of audio visual materials, large print books, archives and history files, reference section, and a toy lending library. Wi-Fi access and Internet workstations are available and various programs are offered to toddlers, children, teens and adults. It's one of my favorite places to visit. The public library in Pointe-Claire began in a small building on the corner of Queens and Summerhill in Valois that was run by volunteers. The library was established as a service of the city of Pointe-Claire in 1965 and in 1974 moved to the present location.
