Isaac Newton was an English physicist, mathematician, astronomer, natural philosopher, alchemist and theologian, who has been "considered by many to be the greatest and most influential scientist who ever lived. This gargoyle like sculpture of English scientist, Isaac Newton, is located at the second story level on the south facing tower of Willamette Hall at the
University of Oregon.
Artist Wayne Chabre produced twelve hammered copper gargoyle-like sculptures for the University of Oregon from 1986 to 1988.
Amazingly, this sculpture can be seen in Google Street View, on the pathways of University of Oregon.
