Albert Einstein (1879-1955) was German born American theoretical physicist who won the Nobel prize in 1921. This gargoyle like sculpture of Nobel physicist, Albert Einstein, is located above an east doorway to Willamette at the University of Oregon. It is an eccentric bust with Einstein's tongue stuck out and his neck tie flapping Dilbert-style.

Artist Wayne Chabre produced twelve hammered copper gargoyle-like sculptures for the University of Oregon from 1986 to 1988.

Somewhat amazing to me, is that the sculpture can be seen in Google Street View, on the pathways of University of Oregon.

From the Smithsonian AIC Description:
Portrait bust of Albert Einstein, at age of 70, in high relief on exterior wall

From the Smithsonian AIC Remarks: Sculpture created from photograph of Einstein on his 70th birthday.
