This gargoyle like sculpture of Nobel chemist, Marie Curie, is located at the second story level on the south facing wall of Willamette Hall at the University of Oregon.

Marie Curie (1867-1934) was a Polish physicist who shared a Nobel Price in chemistry with Pierre Curie (1859-1906) in 1903. This gargoyle like sculpture of Marie Curie is located at the second story level on the south facing wall of Willamette Hall at the
University of Oregon.
Artist Wayne Chabre produced twelve hammered copper gargoyle-like sculptures for the University of Oregon from 1986 to 1988.
This sculpture is somewhat hidden from street view by a large tree growing near the building.
